6th Grade Exploratory Art
Inspirational Ideas: You are encouraged to create on your own with any materials you can find at home. If you want inspiration look below. These ideas can be altered based on your interests and ideas. Don't forget to share with your art teacher in See Saw, email or google class. I would love to see your work!
1. Blind Contour or One Line Drawing: Draw as many people in your family without looking at your paper. Include your pet if you have one. Finish as a work of art. Try a blind contour with an object. Remember do not lift your paper off of the paper.

2. Symbolic Boxes in One-Point Perspective: We studied one point perspective. Things should be drawn smaller as they go pack in space. Create and design a series of boxes in one point perspective.

3. My Dream Destination: Create a landscape with a horizon line, far away, middle, and close. My students in these pictures painted with acrylic on page portectors, brushed glue, and peeled off for a stained glass look. A landscape can be sketched out too.

4. Sculpture (Circle Design, Architectural Design, Beads...)
Use cardboard or dough. This dough recipe can be sculpted and either air dried or baked. I have made ornaments, beads, relief sculptures, and mosaics with it. Check to see if you have the materials at home.
